There is a great joy in having your furry companion by your side as you explore this wonderful world. On the next page you will find some of the most brilliant locations to take your dog, along with several photos from when I visited myself. We are lucky to be able to walk these lands with freedom, but it is important to respect the owners of it for the safety of their livestock, property and of yourself too! So, before you continue, please pay close attention to the following steps:

1: Always keep your dog on a lead -

It is recommended that dogs travelling over unknown fields are kept on a secure lead at all times. You will often find livestock in the fields you intend to travel through, and at certain times of the year they will (hopefully) be pregnant. Scaring them could result in the loss of their baby. This rule is also important to protect your dog. A lot of local pets have been lost very quickly off the end of our VERY steep cliffs - it only takes a second for your dog to find a nice bunny to chase and lose all wit or sense of training!

2: Close all gates behind you -

Very simple rule! Gates are there for a reason - to allow us in, but keep our woolly and other hoofed  friends from getting out! (They are brilliant escape artists)

3: Pick up your dog poo -

Be a responsible owner and keep our pathways clean. Because nobody likes a poo on a shoe...

4: Obey any signs -

If you see a sign saying "keep out", you better believe its for a good reason! Unless you want a nice thick pair of bulls horns nicely implanted in your behind, I suggest you take note. Oh, and if you notice a sign warning you of trows in the area? Keep a good eye on your socks... they like them.

Keep safe, and feel free to send photos of your travels!
